Today I was suppose to land in Tokyo to meet my 9 month pregnant sister to welcome her new baby boy into the world. Well, that was the plan. And as life sometimes doesn't go according to plan, Baby Aidan joined the world in the midst of the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown. In light of those aforementioned issues, I canceled my trip to Japan and re-booked it for a tiny beach town on the Mayan Riviera called Playa del Carmen. I've been here for just a few days and have been relaxing, eating, sun-soaking and all other things vacation related.
I've been thinking a lot, letting go of a lot, refocusing, planning, goal-setting, prioritizing all while realizing how much I am blessed for all that has been given to me. I know while the plan was to be in Japan with my sister and nephew, sometimes how things work out is exactly how it suppose to work out.
I'll have a full report when I get back but in the meantime, pretend you're here with me:
It's ok to be jealous.
